'Drinking at least 8 ounces of tea a day whether hot or cold appears to cut the risk of heart attack by 44 percent.'

The World of Tea

Tea is only just beginning to become popular to the whole world. Only about six million acres of the world make up all the tea patches. That is not even a twentieth of the area used to make wine. There are hundreds of different types of teas. 1/3 of the tea consumed in the USA comes from Argentina, some of the worst possible tea. That is about thirty thousand tons of tea.

India has become the country with the most tea in the world. Britain has gone down to having less then 10% of all the tea in the world.  It used to buy 50% of the tea in the world.  Germany drinks 1/7 as much tea as Britain, but pays the same amount for its tea.  This is simply because Germany's tea is better.  Worldwide tea production averages perhaps three billion pounds.  That is only half a pound of tea per person per year.  All the tea in China was once classified by the Imperial Tea Bureau, whose job never ended since with the constant addition of new teas, their classification system became progressively more complicated, resembling a vast Chinese puzzle.  China is to tea, what France is to wine.
