I was quite excited when I was given the chance to cup the Darjeeling Oolong. How could you not be when presented with their rich and silvery sheen? Just looking at their downiness, I knew it would be one of my favorites.
It just so happens that as I was cupping it, the first snowof the season was falling out my window. A new season was coming in and this iswhat I was thinking of as I took my first sip. Peculiar... It tastes like fall. Ha-ha The scent of freshly decaying leaves, a touch of the briskness thatstarts to enter the air, and the sweet aftertaste that lingers after something scrumptious. Later it humored me to discover the oolong was picked in August.
One thing I found particularly interesting about the tea once I steeped it was how elastic the leaves were. It was good to know I could use these leaves many more times. ![]()
